Bhopal Tamil Sangam (BTS) is a registered non-profit organization founded to preserve and promote Tamil culture, language, and heritage among the Tamil-speaking community in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Registered under the MP Societies Registration Act 1973 on September 4, 2013 (Reg. No. 27234/13), BTS proudly serves 15,000+ Tamil-speaking residents — professionals, students, and families — bridging cultural gaps across Central India.
In January 2023, Tamil Nadu's Minister K.S. Masthan graced our Pongal celebration, and BTS received the prestigious International President's Award for community service.

Thai Pongal Festival / தைப் பொங்கல்
BTS's flagship event — traditional harvest rituals, Bharatanatyam performances, folk arts. In January 2023, Tamil Nadu Minister K.S. Masthan graced the event — a historic first for Bhopal.
Tamil New Year / தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு
Welcoming the Tamil New Year (Chithirai) with vibrant cultural programs, traditional attire, music performances, traditional sweets distribution, and community bonding for all age groups.
Summer Tamil Classes / கோடைகால தமிழ் வகுப்பு
Intensive Tamil language coaching during summer holidays for children and adults. Affiliated with Tamil Virtual Academy, Tamil Nadu Government. 2026 enrollment open!
